Summary

This is a beginner level class that covers the basic use of lathe tools and best practices with the lathe itself, focused on spindle turning. During this class we will cover the different tools and how to sharpen them, as well as several different project mounting techniques. You will get to choose from several project options (bottle stopper, coffee scoop, or screwdriver) to finish and take home at the end of this class. You will be provided a wood blank, but you may bring your own if you choose, so long as it is at least 2” x 2” x 5” in dimension (unless you choose a bottle stopper, in which case it may be 2” x 2” x 3”).
