Summary
Description
Asmbly has two Laguna CNC routers, iQ CNC and Swift CNC, with different capabilities but near identical workflows. In this two part class over two evenings, you will learn the basic software, as well as the recommended bits to use with materials and speeds, and correct job layout on both machines.
Completion of Session 1 is a prerequisite for taking Session 2.
Session 1 is a REQUIRED online Zoom meeting that covers the software tools used to prepare and set up your job. Session 2 is a REQUIRED in person, hands-on at Asmbly that includes setting up the machine, saving g-code, and practice running the machine. Please note that the software required for running both CNCs are PC - based. If you have a OSX or Linux machine you can still attend the sessions and import the target file to our on-site PC-based software to develop the tool paths.
Requirements:
You must wear eye protection while using the CNC router and you must wear closed toe shoes. Please remember to bring a notepad or another way that you can take notes during the class.
