Milling: Techniques w/ Ethan

One of our metal shop founders likes to say that "with the metal mill and lathe, you could rebuild the entire world". The mill is your tool of choice whenever you want clean and flat surfaces on a part, whenever you need precisely sized parts, or whenever those parts need features placed on them precisely.

This class focuses on teaching the basic skills needed to safely use the manual mill. Students will learn how to setup the mill and secure parts, and how to do a variety of basic cuts on both aluminum and steel. They will also learn how to places features on their part precisely.

This class is required for use of our manual mills, and it is a prerequisite to all of the Tormach CNC Mill classes.
