Intro to Epoxy Resin w/ Steve

This class will give students a thorough introduction to epoxy resins and how they can be applied to woodworking and other projects.

Please bring several pair of disposable gloves, eye protection and an organic vapor mask to class.

Class topics include:

• Safe practices when handling epoxy
• Types of epoxy and choosing the right epoxy for the job
• How to pour and degas epoxy
• Making and using forms and molds
• Measuring, mixing, and coloring
• Material prep
• De-molding
• Post-processing and finishing

The instructor will also cover many lessons learned the hard way and how you can avoid those expensive mistakes.

Each student will walk out of the class with a finished live-edge wood and epoxy coaster like the one below.
