Description
This class will cover the core concepts required to understand the basics of microcontrollers. This includes programming and connecting various peripheral devices, allowing attendees to develop their own electronics projects.
Anyone who has a desire to learn and has access to a personal laptop can take this course, as it is designed for those with zero to low base knowledge in electronics. At the end of the course attendees will take home an Arduino microcontroller and a breadboard so they can experiment on their own.
After completing this course attendees should be able to:
-
Configure and navigate the Arduino IDE (Integrated Development Environment) to program various microcontrollers
-
Understand the pinout configuration of several different microcontrollers
-
How to connect external devices to a microcontroller through the use of breadboards and direct wiring
-
Program an Arduino microcontroller to read sensors and output a signal based on input conditions.
-
Complete a basic project involving a minimum of a sensor and an output device
