Making a Mallet w/ Bill

After Wood Shop Safety Class many attendees ask what project should I do next? The Wooden Mallet Class allows you to become more familiar with milling material, precise cuts on the table saw, using the drill press and using various sanding equipment to refine the final shape.  At the end of the class, you will have your own mallet that you can use in the home or shop plus you can take home files for alternate mallet designs.  

After completing this course attendees should be able to:

• More confidently use the jointer, planer, table saw and drill press

• Gain experience in shaping techniques using various sanding tools

• Learn how to accurately assemble and glue your mallet using dowels

• Select and apply finish to your mallet
